The Moscow Department of Health conducts preventive events dedicated to World Health Day.

On April 7, the day the World Health Organization (WHO) was established in 1948, World Health Day is celebrated. In 2019, World Health Day is dedicated to the theme of universal health coverage.

For more than seven decades, Health for All has been the guiding principle of the World Health Organization, and is currently being undertaken to support countries in their move towards universal health coverage (WHO).

The Moscow Department of Health organized a series of events aimed at attracting the attention of Muscovites to their health and the prevention of noncommunicable diseases ^

From April 5 to April 20, 2019 in city clinics are organized for everyone:

- open days for adults and children in the Health Centers and the Department of Medical Prevention of medical organizations of the state healthcare system of the city of Moscow with screening tests to identify risk factors for noncommunicable diseases;

- field information and preventive measures for the population in general educational, professional educational and educational organizations of higher education, enterprises and organizations through the Health Centers for children and adults;

- thematic events in the form of lectures and conversations with patients with the participation of medical specialists of the Health Centers;

- for employees of Moscow enterprises offsite events "Employee Health - the Future of the Company" at GKU DPO "Training Center for Civil Defense and Emergencies", LLC RN-Lubricants, ANO Public Television of Russia and organizations, subordinate to the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the city of Moscow.
